Strawberry Basil-Balsamic Salsa
This quick, summery salsa makes a sweet & savory addition to any party as a nutritious appetizer, or even as a boost of flavor, antioxidants, and flavor to top a protein source, such as grilled chicken.
Servings: 2
Ingredients:

6 whole strawberries, washed and diced

1 small shallot, diced (about 1-2 Tbsp)

1 Tbsp olive oil
-
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
-
6-8 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
-
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
-
1 small pinch of sea salt (~1/16 tsp)
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Serve with pita chips for dipping or as a topping over some grilled chicken! Try it on the Marinated Lemon-Balsamic Grilled Chicken!
